Why we do what we do...
80's Party for a Purpose is 100% ran by volunteers and our charity event was started 7 years ago by our founder Dean Johnson.
The 80's team consist of 6 Board Members: Kelley Metter, Kristie Swailes, John O'Brien, Tammy Churches, Paul Pirrone, and our Graphic Art Director: Cyndie Reiterman.
We are a group of lifelong friends working together, giving back to raise funds for local Metro Detroit area charities in need. Since our first event in 2011, 80’s Party for a Purpose has raised over $100,000.
This year’s charity recipients include:
Great Lakes Burn Camp, Blue Star Military Mothers Chapter 180 and Friends of Jacob.
A huge thank you to our current and past sponsors for all their
monetary donations, services, equipment, donations for raffle baskets or just their time to lend a helping hand.
